“Fantastic job on these-they are such a nice blend of abstract and realism...”

Past Commissions….

Working together on a bespoke painting is so fulfilling for me, whether it’s a family portrait or a moment in time. I love working with clients to create their special piece. Here’s how…

FIRST STEP:

Book a consultation below. We talk about your idea and vision. We decide on color palette and design through several consultations of images. I mock-up a color palette on a small canvas and finalize a price, primarily based on size.

SECOND STEP:

The painting will have at least five layers/passes to get the depth and richness of color and texture. Some of these layers may be sanded back at some point to reveal underlayers. I will send images of the painting after the first one or two passes of paint. You will get to see it again closer to completion for final thoughts.

FINAL STEP:

Although my painting process is involved and has many layers, I do work quickly in the initial stages to get the spontaneous energy, color contrast and bold marks. I expect to deliver the piece to you by an agreed date, usually within two to three weeks of starting the piece. If local, I will hang the piece at no extra cost. I love a piece to find it’s home.
